To test Our new websites.
They are not totally finished, and the web server for the search engines arent online, so chip serach and dealer login down work, but please feel free to test the rest for me. Feedback good and bad very welcome.

Edited to add we are only testing the pages and spelling etc etc as the screensize etc will all be fixed once the layout and content is signed off.

Looking good but inthe Evolution chip section The United Kingdom map doesn't work: "The requested URL /hosting/motorsport/2008/uk2.htm was not found on this server"
But it works on the mainsite.
But it works on the mainsite.
For starters the layout isn't very good, I'm having to scroll side to side to see it all (1152x864 17" monitor - favourites down left of IE) and there is a good 2" of black each side just using up space.
It's nice don't get me wrong, but it needs more testing on lower resolutions because it looks very amateur with side scroll bars.

Does the same for me, looks very ameteurish on smaller resolutions as a result.
If you must use a "fixed width" for the centre sectionfor consistant layout then fair enough, but dont use one for the outside too.
Thankfully VERY easily fixed that by setting the outer table to a size of 100% and then just centering the middle section within that.
The offending line is this one:
Code:
<table id="Tableau_01" width="1200" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
Code:
<table id="Tableau_01" width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
The current setup you have there is going to be RUBBISH for search engines as well im afraid, take the tuning and diagnostics page for example.
The link to it is a flash movie
The heading on the page is this image:

The code used for that is:
Which doesnt even include an ALT tag!
The page title is:
"Motorsports Developments"
The page name is:
services.html
Thats missing out on ALL the most important things that google looks for, its search engine ranking could be MASSIVELY improved just by using more useful text in these places.

Just my two pence, but the contact us details page has clickable links for the email addresses, but the address bar at the top of the page doesn't have a clickable link for the sales@remapping.co.uk email address.
Don't like the picture on the news page, the car looks straight out of a computer game and doesn't match with the pictures on the other pages.
Cheers
Matt

The Flash menu items have the annoying 'Click to activate' which means they have to be clicked, and then clicked again to initiate a link when the page first loads. This is due to something Microsoft implemented a while back, and they are looking to 'fix' first quarter next year.

I really don't like flash personally... its a style exercise for Web Designers and usually detracts from the actual website content as it most certainly does in this case.
Having to move the page position to view it properly is a little frustrating also
To be quite honest, I really do not like it at all.. I much prefer the old site, it clean, its professional, its menus are consistent and intuitive... its faster and it looks a lot better on my Linux PC and PDA

Im not at all sure why people are having page size problems, as i am not on any of my PC's but all 7 of them have screens of 17 or more... is it a screen size issue?

I understand about the coding now as when i mentioned the screensize problems he Laughed and told me the layout designer has only done the layout for me to look at and it will be finalised technically and all the keywords and metadata added by somene else once the layout and text is all correct and i sign off that I am happy with it.

Out of interest do all of your dealers have the facility/equipment/knowledge to say setup a T34 .63 and greys conversion in the same manner that you would?
Or do they just literally sell you the chip and put it in there for you?
Or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick?
