Default You Scots......

Went to Scotland today, had to be up for 2AM got there for about 8 ish (damn M77 I think it was)..

I am helping a few people out doing pigeon lofts until I find the outcome of my 2 IT jobs Ive applied for..

Had to do 3, 1st house got there was putting it up with 2 mates, and the lady owner said "Ive done you some Sausage Rolls and some coffee"

Thought cool, I like sausage rolls.

They were crusty cobs and had this pink meat on, I thought odd.. tried it, was looveerrrllyyyy

2nd loft, same thing, only these were a LOT better, crusty cobs with butter and brown sauce.. Thought this must be a big thing in Scotland, but these ones were DAMN nice...

3rd loft, nearly finished the job, matey went into kitchen for his coffee and I followed shortly after when I had finished something off.. There was a few kids running round and a buffet like thing on the table, thought it must be a kids party or summat. Until the owner said, "Ive done these for you, get them down you (I think thats what she said anyway LOL).. there was 2 plates of ham sandwiches, some marshmallows, biscuits etc.

We said we were full, so the lady wrapped them all up properly for us to take with us for the journey home.

She also said her partner was a takeaway manager, and had already thought about sorting us out a curry or kebabs

NONE of the food at any of the places had been offered or asked for, just done! I'd taken a load of sandwiches and crisps etc already and didnt end up eating any of it..

Throughout the day, we had £45 to share between the 3 of us just for tips....

Have to say this was well worthy of a post, I'd never been to Scotland before, but the impression I got from the Scots is one i wont forget and one people from this country can take a leaf out of their books!

I certainly will be revisiting for a social break...

PS I now know that the "sausage meat" was probably cows bollocks or something LOL

Came past Kilmarnock today

It was like square meat, sorta like corned beef squares but thicker

Sausage here comes in links, not seen it "packed" so to speak

Couldnt get over the bread either, must be like there is a bakers on every corner as it was awesome!

And excuse me, I'd MUCH rather have the square sausage than the bacon, and with cheese and onion as well, OMG, I'm putting my coat back on to drive to Scotland to get some square sausage!

Ive put 3 stone on since working in scotland. Ive never seen people eat so fucking much... and discovering the fast food heaven of Cumbernauld!

Though im not sure what will kill me first, the cholesterol or the m8 rush hour traffic. Fucking tailgating is like a national pastime!!!

have a look at the link I posted

I think its a case (as always) the minority (wankers) giving the majority a bad name, to say I was dubious about the reception I was about to receive was an understatement..

I was very overwhelmed to be perfectly honest...

It does make a difference doesn't it mate, I used to be a cash machine field service engineer

Went to all sorts of places, pubs, clubs, bars, pubs shops etc

And it is suprising how many places don't offer you a drink or anything even if they can see you've gone well out of your way to fix it for them.

The few that did, were always the same places

The bread was lovely, it seemed every house in scotland had fresh crusty bread.

OK we were delivering and fitting 1k pigeon lofts, but even so, I was gobsmacked.
