Hope he realises that they they will shrink in the warmer months so I'd recommend he rechecks the wheel nut/bolt tightness after the winter!!!!

What a dumbass!!

Surely with the wet weather we're having the wood will swell and they'll become 7mm or 8mm spacers!!

Right now he might be joking but I know someone who done something equally as bad if not worse

He got himself some wheels for his Fiesta Turbo and they weren't Ford fitment so he used 3 washers on each stud to space the wheels out

When he turned up at my work in it and showed me I was shocked that anyone at his work allowed him to do it as he works for a engineering firm

it all depends on the wood he's used to make the spacers from or if he's just bought some elcheapo ply from a non sustainable forest type wood

at least he didn't use mdf

i think i would be worried about going round a corner and the load on the wheel would squash the wood... making the wheelnuts loose... oh dear i think he might die!!

I think he's barking up the wrong tree, i wooden be surprised if he tried to make them fit his forest arches, but at the price I suppose they were a teal...... sounds like a bit of a plank to me, but what wood I know? I think he has tried chipping as well, but also wants to branch out into other areas, such as fir on the seats, but this idea seems to be ingrained into his trunk-ated thinking Lets just hope his oak-er enthusiasm dosn't mean he will end up in a pile of ash, pineing for his car, being logged by the police, or even worse end up as a copse....good job bonfire night has gone or he could get done for tree son as well..
