Back in for a bit, took out stuck fork in it - still bleeding

So took foil off, cut it in half, whacked it back in for 10mins un covered, then took out, just about right : little pink in middle, no blood oozing out Covered, left for ten whilst finished potatoes off and made gravy, served with veg, was okay
In my instructions on how to cook the beef I never said cover the joint of meat with anything in the oven

Tinfoil deflects some of the heat. This is why it was not cooked through

Read the instructions

Every other cunt was saying cover it, so I presumed you had this down as going without saying I thought you had to cover it so as not to dry it out?

Erik - Taryn makes the BEST roast beef I have ever had in my life, and my old grandad used to hold that title, since he was a naval commander and spent many a year cooking in the navy cos most of the chefs were shit But I thought that it would take too long for Tee to fly over to cook my beef for me

Wrap it in tin foil once it's out of the oven and leave it to rest a bit

So cook it open, but THEN wrap... When my old dear used to do beef it was always wrapped in foil whilst in the oven aswell as when out....

Oh well, always next time

There's so many different ways of doing it. Mine is to cook it on top of the spuds and then leave it to rest in a bit of tin foil for a while
