Default mot help please

can anyone answer this.

my front flexi brake hoses are routed outta harms way, but they are not fixed to the route.

ie the brake line passes through a metal, rubber lined loop but the loop is bigger than the line so it can move freely when the wheel moves between lock to lock. like a thread and a needle for arguments sake, if that makes sense.

is that a failable thing? must it be fixed to the bracket as standard ones come fixed?

cheers for any help.
