I have recieved your PM's and read then with great delight. I do not offer refunds or swaps, i had 2 of these mounts which i bought off of Alex Knight aka ©hatter Box, I used one on my cabbie and the other was going to a mate (who has a S1) but he changed his mind and didn't need it anymore...... So it went up for sale and you bought it way back in May/June time.

Its taken you this long to find out it didn't fit?!

Sorry mate i don't need it and i'm not in a postion to be giving refunds after 5-6 months.

Bung it on Ebay or stick up for sale on here again.

 

Oh thanks for replying then! I know not to deal with u again then! U said it was for a Series 1 RS turbo, i've been restoring my Series 1 and only just got round to refitting the motor. I think your being a bit unfair here,selling an incorrect item!

whats different bewteen a rs16 mount to any other cvh mk3 engine mount as there all the same im sure

the only ones that are different are mk4s where one of the holes for the inner wing bolt is out slightly

 

As said, im sure 16i and mk3's are identical.

As long as these mounts are different and it definately doesn't fit, BillyCabrio has still sold something under false pretenses, and should be refunding this man his money.

 

Personally, after 6 months im not sure if i would have the cheek to ask for a swap espically as the person is not a trader, and i doubt just has engine mounts laying around

 

I agree, if it was the right part but spax decided he didnt want it anymore, but it is the wrong part.

 

ive done it before, got bits, not fitted them for half a year, then realised that its the wrong bit etc

put it down to expiriance, and to check bits when i recive them

i agree that the time scale is a bit long but these things happen with restos. i think that as a gesture of goodwill between pf members that the money should be returned.

i can see the point if it was to a random on ebay but in this case i would trust a fellow member especially as it was advertised incorrectly(if thats actually the case)

you do realise that you have to put that metal frame round the mount dont you

they are exactly the same as any mk3 escort cvh

the mk4 are the same to look at except 1 hole is slightly different and you wouldnt know unless you treied to fit it
