Default HELP GUYS

Well im still in limbo land regarding my car, mot finishes 26th and im away in donny 1-7 nov and at the moment am on split nights for 2weeks meaning my time is limited till 9th nov on what i can be doing.

Took my car to a welder 25miles up the road who works on Merc's and fords sent by the company's he showed me his work and has said he will cut and re-weld the battery tray and inner wing, sill under door (hole) and sill at the rear arch where a huge hole is and split in passenger seat mount for £550 and have it done in 2 days, he will weld metal to metal as replacement and waxoild his work to save future rot, he showed me some work they are doing on a merc and it was stunning..

The rest of the mot he can have a mobile mechanic do for about £100 then £40 MOT, but if it fails then more money forking out, he said with thier standard of work it wouldnt fail on welding.
I went back to the garage who originally mot'd the car and mentioned i could get the car sorted if costs go up then in region of £650 - £800 for full repairs, but they said not to bother as the rust will retern in sills and as their are a few specks behind the sunroof to have shot of it, but hey had quoted me £1000 up to fix the car. They advised me to get a shell but that is proving a touch hard, then im looking at £1000 up...to have it rebuilt and stripped.

So im back on nights tonight but am really stuck...

WHAT WOULD YOU LOT DO???????

should i pay up to £700-800 and have the car sorted?

Or pay £1000 up to reshell price minus shell mind!

get another RST?

Or carry on trying to sell??

the car is mint in and out but the welding is the problem at the moment, the minor things on the rst i can do myself and a mechanic can finish lowering my repair cost.
