Default UFC 78 - Validation

What are your predictions?

Heres the fight card.......mine are in bold to win

Rashad Evans vs. Michael Bisping
Karo Parisyan vs. Ryo Chonan
Houston Alexander vs. Thiago Silva
David Terrell vs. Ed Herman
Spencer Fisher vs. Frankie Edgar
Joe Lauzon vs. Jason Reinhardt
Chris Lytle vs. Thiago Alves
Luke Caudillo vs. Marcus Aurelio (anyones)
Akihiro Gono vs. Tamden McCrory (anyones)

As much as id like Bisping to beat Evans, i just cant see it personally, especially after his performance against Tito.

Its not actually a 'great' card as far as big names go imo, but still should have some good action due to some decent up and coming fighters.

Its on pay per view this saturday night, and repeated on bravo on sunday at 9pm. [/b]

tbh I was saying Rashad was gonna kick Bisping's ass but have you been reading their blogs on UFC.com?

Rashad seems a bit tentative, physically not ready and he's saying he's worn out for 2007!! WTF. I think he's doubting himself?

Bisping has a lot to prove after London, I was there and he didn't win that fight imo, he has to prove himself and I think he'll come out all guns blazing and he might overwhelm Rashad cause bispings cardio is second to none..........

We'll have to wait and see.

PS: Whoever wins, can't see them taking Rampage's belt though.

Looks like a better card than the last UFC.

I hope Bisping carries on his winning streak, but in all fairness I dont see it happening agains Evans. pretty evenly matched fight wise, but two very different fighters. Evans likes to take it down where his advantage is and has v good takedown defense. his last two wins were knockouts, so i could see it being a bit of a slugfest first off.

Definately looking forward to The Ultimate Fighter Finale with Clay Guida and Roger Huerta slugging it out. Guida is awesome!

It'll be tough going but i hope Bisping can win, if Houston Alexander mullers this guy like his last 2 fights imo that stands him in good stead as top 5 contender for a title shot.

Me too! Although stranger things have happened, so you never know. I cant see him losing his title for a while though personally.

Saying that, i thought that about GSP and look what happened there.

i agree i think bisping got his work cut out
ill be rooting for him but cant see him beating rashad
hes probably gonna get a bad reception because he dont seem to be to popular with the yanks at the min ,hopefully thatll spur him on a bit more

Because its a grudge match.

Werdum is one of only 2 people to beat Gonzaga.

Hes coming of a loss of his title shot to Couture.

I just think it will be a better fight.

I think Penn will walk all over Stevenson

& i hope that ed herman gets a beating cos he pissed me of in the ultimate fighter with his nobody can beet me attitude

Hope the count pull's it off its gonna be real real tough night tho, I rekon this could be the fight that makes him think seriously about dropping down to middleweight.

I was really looking forward to seeing Chuck doing battle with Wanderlei Silva, but chuck's been beat twice in a row now so it's taken some of the shine off the match up although.

Anyone watching Tuf 6? There's been a couple of decent scraps

fedor would never come to the ufc i dont think,

he is mates with the president of russia & goes out for meals with him all the time so can you imagine him saying ''na sorry mate im off to work for an america''

dont think it would ever happen, i think its better that he never joined aswell as dana white is getting a bit too big for his boots realy by giving all the fighters rules etc

but i reckon if vitor belfourt went back to the ufc & got himself into a better shape like when he was younger then that would stir it up a bit i reckon

LOL yeah
NO FOOKING WAY Randy would beat Fedor.
I'm pretty sure Fedor could have a match 3 on 1 with ufc heavyweight talent and whoop their arses.

Fuck UFC, Cage Rage 24 at Wembley this weekend, much more fun watching it for real than on TV.

Were all going down as per usual as my mate Ronnie is fighting again.

Im not really into cage rage either. Ill watch it if its on, but after UFC, the standard doesnt come close, which is to be expected though obviously.

Ronnie Mann?

I think our local boy Robbie beat him didnt he

My lad trains with Robbie down his gym. This is his first fight in the bigger weightclass.

Cage Rage doesnt have the professionalism that UFC has, but that is to be expected.
