FAO Stu etc URGENT please
Can anyone tell me the number on the ecu plug that supplies each of the extra 4 injectors?
Obviously i know this but i need to corespond each one to that pin...otherwise i got to re install.
So
pin ?? no 5 inj
pin ?? no 6 inj
pin ?? no 7 inj
pin ?? no 8 inj
The SECS ecu is different!

so as standard they dont have 4 inj drivers?
but the super8 adds another 4?
or are the pins internally connected to the same circuit?
i just assumed batch injecttion... 2 inj drivers, 2 pins hence adding another 4 injectors would add another 2 inj drivers/pins
as oposed to on my car where i have 2 injector drivers ie 2 pins for switched earths, and these are joined togther in banks of 3 in the wiring loom
i'm just trying to learn, not pickin holes or anything

i didn't say they don't have 4 injector drivers jim, but i didn't say they did either.
if it's batch injection, why would you need 2 drivers for 2 injectors? what's wrong with having one driver for all 4 (or 6 for that matter) injectors? or even one driver per injector but all fired at the same time? the possibilities are endless.

Foreign....those are the first 4 injectors!!!
the sub loom uses pin 2,6,9,22...but which is what injector i DONT want to tahe the loom out!

i don't quite understand the question now - must be cos i'm foreign.
what does it matter which pin is what injector - it's batch injected (that means they all fire at the same time so they don't have to be connected in any particular order)

FRS, surely theyre fired in 2 banks tho? ie 1 on 1 off?
ps S8 can use fully sequential injection, so getting the right pins is of some inportance

you think you've got time at full boost at over 7000 rpm to be able to fire in 2 banks? depends on your injector flow rate of course, but i don't think you have on 'std' yellows or greens.
why piss about with setting up sequential injection? not really much to be gained imo, and certainly getting the best out of it would be very difficult for a diy tuner without the use of an engine dyno.

phil, get multimeter place 1 terminal in the multiplug and poke the other in the ECU connector holes until you find the ones that match... then note down which ones do which
if you got a shitty multimeter, use the resistance function to fine out which is which... if you got a good multimeter, set it to continuity test (shit multimeters dont do continuity)

22 = injector 5 (cyl 1)
09 = injector 6 (cyl 2)
02 = injector 7 (cyl 3)
06 = injector 8 (cyl 4)
This is on a L8 based super8, i believe the P8 uses a different pin for injector 7 (pin 02 is used for the lambda sensor on the P8), i don't know what pin the P8 uses for this injector.
