Does anyone know what i have to do to get a focus st3 to work in a differnt car apart from a st?

need to know if i can get around all the fancy electronic coding they have these days

find out where it is...then ask someone on here to check it out to see if its legit....seems too cheap for me

Don't forget the modern engines will need the correct original ECU to run it, as everything from the fuel pump to the door locks are controlled by it, might be worth asking if they will sell you the whole car.

what so i couldnt use a ecu of a differnt focus ST?

 

its not just the ecu, i think a lot of the electronics would be coded to that specific chassis number, and youd have to do something about the key, immobliser & ecu etc blablabla good luck whatever you do, must be worth 800 in bits seeing as the gbox and turbo are included

 

i know but there must be a way round getting it to work in another car?

why does technology have to be so good these days

watsons in fife are a huge scrappies mate.as you say a bit late to get checked now but id have thought they would hav tried to get engine running when it was in car has to be worth a grand easy tho

just use aftermarket managment

your easiest option is probably a standalone aftermarket ecu tbh but then you can easily tune it

 

so aftermarket management is possible?
