Default If spark plug tips are dry.......
Then the piston rings should be fine ?

Or is there more to it than that?

No, not gone bang and compression is spot on

Just dopne valve stem seals hoping this will stop the oil smoke

Not put engine back in yet to test it, just ruling out piston rings needing doing

If you've done compression test and its all fine, then you need not worry, had you?
