I am writing to warn passionford users of the service I have received from ZOO MOTORSPORT. For some time I have been building my fiesta RS turbo, with the intention of building a really solid and high spec car to drag race and have some fun at track days. Unfortunately my progress has been halted due to a single and regrettable decision to purchase some parts from ZOO MOTORSPORT.

In June 06 (18 months ago) I ordered:

1 rose jointed rear beam

1 rear disk conversion kit

1 front lower crossmember

and these parts aren't cheap as i'm sure you are all aware.

Fast forward to the present day - the sixth of November 2007 and my car is sat in the garage..... on axle stands. I have lost count of the number of times I have been told that my parts are nearly ready, and believe me I have not been slow in coming forward about this issue - Brom is and has been fully aware of the situation for a very long time, and on the few occasions that i get a reply to an email, or he actually answers his phone, he fobs me off. I even rang once and said that i've waited long enough and I just wanted my money back, to which he replied that the parts are away being powder coated and the parts would be with me promptly... that was more than six months ago.

I know that the guy has been very ill, and that was the reason that my order was originally lost and for the first six months I accepted that as a reasonable excuse for the poor service, but throughout the year I have seen him at several events, if he really is the only person in the company who can build these parts (as i was told), then until he provides me with my parts or he refunds my money, I would prefer to see him spend his weekends working through the backlog of work, or at least to employ someone else to do the work for him.

The absolute top and bottom of this is that my car is sat in the garage and i can't drive it, because of ZOO MOTORSPORT. My bank balance is over a grand lower because of ZOO MOTORSPORT and i've experienced a lot of stress because of ZOO MOTORSPORT.

I am writing this post for two reasons, firstly to warn other users of what this company can offer you or rather what they can't. Secondly in the hope that maybe others have had this problem and can help me.

I hope no-one has the gall to tell me that I should not have written this post. I'm completely disgusted with this company and this is a forum for opinions and for us ford enthusiasts to share experiences and knowledge to help each other. I'm sure many people have had good experiences with ZOO MOTORSPORT and i don't question the guys skills, looking at his car it is an incredible feat, but it doesn't change the fact that essentially he has stolen over a thousand pounds from me and i'm not going to rest until I get my money or my parts.

I hope that this helps some of you, and please let me assure you that i'm not over-reacting, i'm a very level headed person and I'm not simply out to cause trouble, i've been putting off writing this post for a long time to try and give the guy a chance and he's becoming less and less responsive to my communication. If i got mugged in the street and someone stole money from me, I wouldn't keep quiet about it and so I won't keep quiet about this.

IMO money should not be cashed until the product is ready for delievry or a deposit taken only.

still has time to drive his own car to scandinavia and back to an extremely expensive show with performance ford mag recently (still advertising his business) but not make the bits that probably paid for it,sounds like he is proper ill!

Had top work done off Brom when i had my cossie..... BUT i left him some Rs Focus brakes and discs to service and fit to my cossie but due to work and Brom being very ill i never got round too collecting them. This was over 2 years ago. Have called and pmed but still no brakes. Was some of my fault for not going down and sorting it earlyer, but still dont expect them to go missing....

Is a shame as Brom is a top bloke and helped me out loads.

Pete l am not looking for an argument but to use the word Unfortunatly is quite surprising, to get 10months inside would imply to me he was driving like an utter tit and could possibly have seriously hurt somebody god forbid worse so to say unfortunately is alittle strange, or maybe l am reading to much in to your comment

i think the police fucked him over on that as he was on there priority list. he was well known on the "circuit" it Nottingham many moons ago and they wanted him locked up !!

and just for the record he is a sound guy when you get to know him

no mate the fact was Brom kept egging the police on every time they pulled him he gave them shit,everytime he went past the loacl nick going home he drove mad to make a lot of noise,the bloke at the time was a complete idiot and deserved all he got,
The charges were hugh went he got done first time and Iam surprized he didnt kill his passengers,140 mph wrong way around an island several red light clocked again at 90,and he had just yes just come out of court that very day after being banned
his mate was driving his cossie and Brom couldnt bare to see soemone getting a bit of glory going side ways around the cicuit,he got in the car and went after the guy got seem going broadside and the chace commenced
as i said no sympathy someone innocent could have been killed

Aside from what he's done in the past, lets just hope this guy gets his money back. I almost got bumped over Ł1k a few years ago and I had alot of sleepless night untill it was sorted. Not nice.
