Which headgasket when you have wire rung block?
Im thinking about upgrading my headgasket as im upping the power soon(370ish),i was told when i bought the car that the block had been wire rung,does this mean i can still use any gasket? was going to buy a mountune 3 layer,but i thought i better check before i do

With 370 and wire rung block I'd use the Group A or even the standard gasket

You CAN'T use a MLS gasket with wire rings.

I use a plain group a gasket on mine.

Whatever it is, im missing it too as I cant see why you shouldnt run a group A gasket on a wire rung block.

I have ran the set up for well over 10k now with no gasket issues.

gpa one will do the job but cause it is heavier round the rings it will dig into the head more will when removed later it will need a lot more skimmed off the head

i was alays told to run a standard gasket with wire rings something to do with the way the wire sets in the gasket, this was years ago now though
i would flatten the block and run a proper gasket
