HELP....Sticker Paul.....tell him not to chop springs!!!!
Right.....Sticker Paul is having a mid-life crisis over the lowering of the arse end of his cossie!!
Most of you have seen the pics of his car with the spankin Comp MOs on but the rear is just a tad toooo high - it needs dropping 10-15mm to level it off nicely!!
Anyway - the current situation is that I changed his springs at the weekend for some 'unknown' red springs that when lined up with standard jobbies looked like they would do the trick - however they didnt & to be honest after it had settled it looked ever so slightly higher. I put this down to them being stronger springs...could this be right???
So on Tuesday we changed this over for a set of black springs that were definately shorter than standard springs by just over 10mm when lined up! The one spring was a different height by 5mm - I personally thought they had sagged & it wasnt the best of ideas to fit them but Paul being impatient wanted to try em.
Now these have settled they have dropped the car toooo much - by 30/40mm & it now fowls speedhumps!!
So Paul being impatient Paul - wants to re-fit the red springs but chop them down first!!!!
Everyone give him a verbal slap - but give him some advice at whats best to do.
I reckon he should either :-
1.) Fit the set of Koni's he has & set them up relatively hard to keep the rear end from bouncing when he goes over speed bumps or..
2.) Get a set of springs which are relatively new and are known to lower the car by 10/20mm - can anyone help with these?
or
3.) Both 1) & 2)
Peoples thoughts please...... Because hes impatient we wanna do this this weekend otherwise hes gonna burst a blood vessel!!
