Not used that specific one but the 24v ones are normally pretty good.

Ive always used a Snap on one and would highley recommend one of these.....

Well worth the money

Could not comment on the one you have linked, its does seem fairly cheap for what your getting, my advice would be have a lil shop around

as long as you have a torque wrench for doing them up afterwards....

the 24v ones are usually pretty good, but you get what you pay for. the snap on ones are very good but not very cheap

Torque wrench at a trackday?
you're a lot more professional than me, I just use a breaker bar till it feels "about right"

But yes I agree do NOT rely on the gun alone for tightening, also it extends battery life a lot if you just crack the nuts off with a breaker bar quickly first before buzzing them out on the gun.

I have a makita one, and as above crack them first with a bar, then buzz off with the gun. Works a treat. If you are not in a hurry, have a go with the one I have next time we meet up to see what you think?

Torque wrench for the final check!

Gun for ease of removal and nipping up.
Also good to check hubnuts etc.

You can rely on the gun if you have these new thingys .. there like impact sockets on the end of a bar which is designed to twist at a certain torque rating so they won't tighten up any higher..(etc 70 ft/lbs).. seems as good idea and they worked well when we tried them at work

De Walt make one that is supposed to be pretty good although I havent used it myself and it isnt cheap. You don't want to tighten the bolts fully with one or undo them from tight as the impact driver puts alot of stress on the studs etc.

Spiky, no worries mate. Just buy it and take it back if it's shite

At the risk of stating the obvious, put the nuts on a couple of turns buy hand first. I've seen people put the nut in the socket, then use the gun to put it on the stud. Cross threaded

I always put them in by hand first just to be sure, but I see people gun them in all the time without a problem TBH

I got a randomly named 24v one off ebay about a year or so ago for £60 was very happy with it.....well until I dropped it from about waist height onto a concrete floor & the barrel section parted company from the handle/battery bit!!

Even now its taped up it still works fine! LOL!

Sometimes I am amazed as to what it actually manages to undo!!!
