Ta.
it transferes the torque alot quicker than say a standard unit

and no 60Nm VC wouldn't effect the way the car drove at all in anyway

if the VC was set to 90Nm or above would cause the car to push on ..on the tarmac /track would be ok on gravel tho

for mine, would I need to do anything to the front and rear diffs for 460 BHP too?? I know the front diff is the weak part but would a strengthening plate do or would I need to go ATB and thick wall?

Wish I could find a copy of Fast Ford somewhere but no-one has it

hi scott

what he offers for the rear diffs 7" or 7.5" 9"

he uprates the planet gears and uprates the VC to 120Nm on the 7" (4wd) and 240Nm on the 7.52wd diff still the weak point is the crownwheel and pionion he offers shot peening and polishing extra cost

for the 9" the VC is massive and can be uprated to 900Nm

but for tarmac the best setting is 520+Nm

there are also lots of different ratios for these diffs right from 3.1 to 5.2

as for the front diff you could buy a thick wall casing and use a strenthing plate and have the crown wheel and pinion shot peened and polish that would make it lot more reliable than the standard unit

cheers marco

How much would it cost to rebuild and upgrade VC LSD of a 7,5" diff?
If you upgrade this VC, I would think that the internal heat-buildup becomes even greater? To my expirience that is what destroy theese units. Should extra cooling be added aswell?
Cheers

Mullit for me, been excellent all year.

whats the interest out there in a Mullit box with shorter 1st gear?

say from 3.62:1 to 2.6:1.
