Computer peeps, please help.
I have an annoying problem. I am thinking virus, but AVG is up to date and not picking one up.
My internet explorer runs fantastic when i connect, fast as anything until ive been browsing for approx 30-40 mins. Then slowly it stops finding websites, i get the ''Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage''. So i try to close exploer but it wont and goes into 'not responding' mode. Only way to close is to keep pressing and pressing close in the task bar(ctrl, alt, del). But then once closed it wont open properly again, even when i disconnect from the net and reconnect. Only way to get back on the net is to turn off the pc and start again, and after 30-40 mins it happens again...and on and on!!!
Whilsit this is happening the hard drive is buzzing like mad....
Any ideas?

Lee spybot and adaware are for spyware, AVG is an anti virus, two different things, so you should have AVG AND spyware at least.
As said above install firefox and let us know if you still have the same problem.
Ive got one or two other things you can try if that dont work

if you havent installed anything yourself it should be windows built in firewall.
so that answers my question anyway.
Is it any site that pictures dont load or just this one?

How much browsing are you doing in 30-40 mins.
Go into task manager and click on processes, then click the mem usage tab to sort the processes in order of memory usage, you may well find its in excess of 100+MB - if thats the close close all internet windows and re-open them and it clears the memory

Back to the topic at hand..... As already mentioned, AVG is an antivrus program, and NOT a spyware scanner/detector so is not a replacement for Spy Bot and/or AdAware...
Personally I thin you should have at least 1x AV prog, 2 spyware scanners, and a spyware monitor, along with a firewall. Myself personally I run AVG, SpyBot, AdAware (personal SE), Windows Firewall, Zone Alarm, SpywareGuard, and PeerGuardian
AVG is antivirus. You use this to scan for threats or virus', and it also runs in the backround keeping tabs on whats going on.
SpyBot and AdAware are spyware/malware scanners. They do nothing unless you initiate them to (ie, perform a scan)
SpywareGuard is like AVG, but is for spyware/malware. It runs in the backround monitor your internet activity and blocks prevents *most* spyware, malware and data miners from installing/downloading. Usefull program.
Zone Alarm is a firewall
Windows Firewall is, err, a firewall
and PeerGuardian is an IP protector, protecting your IP, aswell as blocking other IP's form looking at you and your data. Only really nesasary(sp) if you have a port open in a router or are downloading via torrents mind....
Along with saying you should download and install all of the above, I actually reccomend you install a couple more browsers too (try Firefox and Opera) and try them out - just to see if the problem is targetting IE only. If it is, and you are using IE7, uninstall it, it should revert back to IE6, then reinstall IE7 and try that, see if the problem remains.....
