Right then

I personally think these cars are fucking superb

They have everything that the VW/Audi cousins have and more....They look hard as nails and with a remap go VERY well.

Bullit proof engines when looked after and build quality is excellent

If you are a badge snob like many on here then you wont like it.....But if your not then you are getting...probably...pound for pound the best car your money will buy

I rate mine up with the Mondeo ST TDCi and the BMW 330d i had........But triple the price

Dont worry about milage on these as long as they have service history

The badge doesnt bother me mate, its a VAG group car not a skoda as in an 80's skoda, it was hard work convincing our lass but she came round. ive got the service history summary and phoned the garages its been seviced at, it was at the supplying dealer up untill 80k miles, then its had one full service at an indipendant garge, phoned them, they confirmed what had been done. neither garage have any record of a cambelt change, and after speaking to skoda, they say its 120k miles or 5 years, so with it not having a record of it being done, i obviously will want it doing as soon as i get it, if i get it, told the guy at the garge, he said he will either supply a belt and kit and i have to get it done, or he will drop the price, but ive told him i want it doing at skoda, and its Ł330 from them. going to go have a look at it later, so it will be decision time, tbh, its only milage thats putting me off, but from what you said, and a couple of mates have said, as long as its been looked after, it shouldnt be a problem.

Went and had a butchers, the bonnet needs painting, well, if i bought it id want it doing, some very nasty touched up stone chips, and it needed taxing which i didnt know, add that to the fact it needs a cambelt change, id need to spend a good Ł500-Ł600 plus before i was happy with it, so im going to leave that one, but tbh its done 100k so i wasnt expecting it to be concourse. ive got cash sat here and cant find a car im happy with, so the search continues, or i could just put Ł5k in my mondeo

The yellow ones did yes. But seeing as only a complete cunt would ever be seen dead in one, they didn't bother doing a recall

Silver and black ones are all gravy
