1 psi is worth 10 bhp on my car( there or there abouts anyway)

Why did it only run 30 psi on the rollers?

Great figs by the way

tested in 4th then..

Peak torque at over 7k! Bloodyhell. Whats it like lower down? Or does the boost keep creeping up or something?

hi mate yeah run in 4th. i dont know why on boost the operator said a little bit more load on the road. i was happy though that it held 30
should be over 480 then on the road with the 2 psi
im as happy as a pig in sugar
the figures confirm to how it drives on the road not much torque but a load of top end power

yeah would imagine it wolud be over 480 on the road

do you have graphs?

where the car seems to make the peak torque seems a bit odd tho....

would imagine it "should" be earlier?

boost is capped lower down because of surge. bhp and torque meet on graph at 5250 which is 290 bhp, 290 lbft

torque slowly rises up to 7k but power just keeps going right to the limiter. 5.5k 310, 6k 360, 6.5k 410, 7k 460 and 7.5k 472

if the boost wasnt capped peak torque could be made lower down but bhp at the top might suffer..

...a t4 on a mild head can mangage about 25psi low down...but the engine is a compromise imo

it is a compromise i could have more bottom end grunt but as a road car and 2wd its more usable thats for sure
it breaks traction in 1st and 2nd and once ur in 3rd its all grip and you never drop out of the power 1st to 2nd is the only tricky one to keep in v high power but it spins anyway so whats the difference. i love it

....like you say it sorts traction not the perfect yb but a perfect road car i bet without the need for throttle control....no different to my amg except the engine is perfectly engineered and traction control caps power for traction..which is alot ...you have a compromised engine i have a compromised shell ...although from 3rd i get full use

Possibly one of the reasons for having to cap the boost low down?

u must have plenty of low down pull then mate

ive had to have caping 22psi to 4600 rpm, 25 psi to 5400 rpm then 32 psi to limiter

8k for a mint nearly 500 hp car was defo a bargain
