can some help me im looking to get one of those chip&pin machines the ones you can carry about with you so i can accept credit card payments but where would i get one from thanks

We have a StreamLine terminal in the office but I'm curious about the ones in restaurants that the waiter brings to the table - what sort of range do they have, or do they have an onboard internet connection or something?

The ones in restuarants are like the cordless phones you have in your home with a short-ish range.

I think what turbo1973 has described is a portable one (this is what we use when we trade at the shows) which is like mobile phone.
