As he finished 1 lap down and thus could not complete the race does that not mean it doesnt matter anyway??
As Martin Brundle said as Kimi crossed the finish line "they could all crash now and it wouldnt matter"

I can see them removing the points for BMW and Williams but the drivers will be allowed to keep there points. After all its similar to what the Mclaren drivers have had all season, a unfair advantage and those cunts still kept there points.

How he got off with destroying Raikkonen's qualy lap plus getting 2 sets of wets to make sure he knew the track dry or wet is beyond me. One rule.... Ron Dennis must have sunk plenty into his.....scholarship

You have to put your hands up to Kimi Raikkonen he is World Champion fair play to ferrari considering on how many problems they had at the start of the season and fcuk ups they made, what an amazing come back and don't foget Mclarens are cheats as well. Ferrari do deserve to be Champions

-wonder if alonso will get the "22"?

i can't see the link, but it was on the news this morning that they would not suffer any penalties for chilling their fuel
i'm assuming this is what the link is also reporting yes?
and pretty high and mighty for maclaren to complain about "cheating"

FIA said no penalty, McLaren are appealing, but if they REALLY think that other teams drivers can be penalised for cheating, when their own did not, then Ferrari deserve both titles even more than they already do

Mansell got this same bad press from some when he was winning races and not titles. What is it about Brits that want to knock people who achieve?

being the best loser doesn't make up for not winning what everyone thought was a pretty much "go there and rive sensibly" race with the title there for the losing
as a famous saying once said "he snatch defeat from the jaws of victory"

I think the boy has done very well, and can hold his head up. I think that the emotions both for and against are somewhat disproportionate, but that is what ultra high level sportsman do - engage emotion.
For what it is worth, I think Kimi should keep the title, as it would be a daft way to lose it! As stated, had BMW not broken the rules there would have been no confired disadvantage.

FAR more interesting than some tactician who holds back on a race to win a championship.
Im sure an element of that will pass with age, but personally I think its a great trait for a racing driver to have, and if it wasnt for that hunger to win now matter what the cost (even to himself) he probably wouldnt have got to where he is today in the first place.

In 1995, the Benetton-Renault of Michael Schumacher and the Williams-Renault of David Coulthard were initially disqualified from first and second in Brazil because their fuel did not conform to samples approved by the FIA.
But a week later the FIA, who said no advantage had been gained, reinstated the drivers' points, preferring instead to dock points from their teams.
This whole incident does not improve F 1:s credibility. If FIA decides to act otherwise, it would NOT be fair. AND if teams gain advace not deserved, should Mc Laren also drivers lose their points from spying business?

I REALLY hope McLaren do NOT appeal against the BMW fuel technicality, I firmly believe that Lewis would not want to win the title due to some court room battle.
As much as I wanted him to win it, if he was given it this way, you would NEVER hear the end of it!
It just makes them look desperate and shows sour grapes I think.
Let sleeping dogs lie, and come back next year to do it properly.
BUT, on the other hand, if BMW were found to be cheating, then they should be penalised like everyone else has been through out the year

FFS mclaren are appealing, just get over it and move on
If the appeal is successful and they hand the title over to the media monkey boy I'm washing my hands of the sport altogether, complete farce.
He should just fuck off over and drive nascars or something and take all the hype/bollocks with him, the yanks would lap him up
