Default Help, my brothers car...

Right just a quick bit of help needed

My brother is 18 and bought his first car a few weeks ago, anyway its a little fiat punto 1.2 elx thingy mk2

Its developed a noice from what sounds like behind dash/engine/or underneath in that area when driving, its like a tapping,knocking sort of noise and its really getting to him, now this noise dissapears when engaging clutch hmmm?

any help appreciated and would get him off my back lol, thanks

It it when under load or is it noticable with the car idling/stationary?

I had something like this on my 106 turned out to be the clutch release bearing lol
