Default which tyres??????

i need 4 205/40/17 tyres for my saff for road use and track day. what is the best race tyre to go for that is still e marked for road use and what would they be like in the wet on the roads.

Why not get the height sorted and go for 215, 225 or bigger. Maybe its just me but i pack myself in a stg 1 on 205 tyres (yes i know i'm a pussy) hence just got 225s.
It wasn't a critisism, but food for thought, then you can exploit and enjoy the power better, which is what these cars are about.

i do like to go very sideways though. and it doesnt scare me one bit if the arse end comes out. it just makes me more excited and makes it more fun.

Bearing in mind what you have written there - NOT Goodyear F1s at all.

Toyo R888s, Yoko AO48s (or similar no, the obviously track orientated ones) or Dunlop 02GS.

All Superb, work well even in the damp. Obvioulsy need common sense in standing water (the ONLY time when an F1 would be a better tyre)

Si is right with the tyres he has posted up, Eagle F1's are a shit track tyres unless it wet then there alright.

205/40/17 on a T4 2wd saph :gayflag:
