S14 is the circa 1995 model. Had the SR20DET, but a relatively undesirable body shape.
The S14a which ran from around 1996 onwards has a much more appealing style with far more aggressive front-end etc. Definately the one to have.
Watch out for big-end failure, they are known for it, along with VVT rattle, rear bed bushes etc, which are all known weaknesses.
We specialise in these, so if you need any help.......

as you say, they are raw.and full of character.
the cossie is cheaper to get 350 from.330 bhp is piss easy and will cost round 500 to 800 quid depending on what you buy and who from.no other car gives bang for bucks like that.

he took the girls (inc. my ex) home from the pub the day i met him (hadnt been drinking), but was busy showing off, and stuff it backwards up the curb, into a brick wall!
my ex GF had to be cut out of the car, and had neck problems for almost a year after that.
good thing the police were already there when we arrived, otherwise he would have been short a few teeth when he needed to give his statement, still makes me angry to this day
