Default speedo 2wd cos..?

the speedo in my cos has stopped working.. the cable seems ok and so does the actuall clock and am thinking maybe its the drive in the gearbox.. is this easily fixed or has the box got to be removed.. also does anyone know how the spa digital speedos work that are for sale in demon tweeks.. do they run off the same cable or another way.. it says they have to have wheel sizes ect programmed in... any ideas please..... ta..

Box out to change it,split rear end of box off

Take the speedo sender out of the side of the gearbox, get a torch and see if the cog that drives the speedo is visable could be that its loose on the shaft and moving freely and not turning the speedo drive,if it is there stick your finger in and see if it moves on shaft
This is what happened to mine the speedo cable melted solid by the turbo and fooked the cog in the box

Might be hard to get the parts for that too
