Are you sure Dave, when I replaced one on my old EsCos, I was told to get the number off the sticker to determine the correct type (apparently there were variations)?

there are definately variations between cosworth and normal models... this is a normal mk5 escort loom anyway... its just being fitted to my cossie (as it had no loom to begin with ) i'm just worried that i'm gonna put it all together only to have to rip it out again when the electrics don't work

I know there's a difference between models, but was led to believe there were variations between Cossie fuse boxes also - could be mistaken, it was over eleven years ago now

Nope, there were about 7 different versions, which were then narrowed down to 3 basic varieties:
BAA
BBD
(and some other weird one on Diesels)
On one of the version, if you fit the wrong box the lights do not work and the alarm does not work, but the LED in the clock stays illuminated all the time, the other way most of it does not work. I cannnot remember which though.

Just fit the loom with the most add-ons (like electric windows, etc..) and fit the BBD box, which is what most high-spec ones have, at least if it does not work then you know the BAA box is the one to have, plus you still have the high-spec wiring fitted.
