If the compression of an engine was 30psi (or so) less then what it should be, would it cause it to run shite/smoke/be down on power etc?

Ah well
my SX shows 120psi on all 4 bores with the accelerator pressed. typically they show 150psi ish but mine has a tiny little battery, due to the intercooler pipework, which causes it to crank over pretty slowly. Would this cause the lower compression reading?
It doesnt smoke, or run like a bag of shite and certainly doesnt feel down on power at all

The compression test is only good for showing a difference between the four cylinders. As long as they are all close to each other there's no problem.

Too many things can change the compressions on a test.
comp test Gauge accurancy,
battery turning,
engine temp,
cam and cam timing,
C/R
plus engine faults, which can loose or raise the comp, depending on fault.
