Default portable car power???

I need something i can put on a car battery to keep the voltage above 13v.

i cant use a battery charger so it needs to be mobile.

any ideas what i can use?

Maplin have a solar battery charger mate, and I dont think it actually needs that much sun power

what exactly is this for? only thing i can think of is a generator. Another option is running 2 12v batterys in series to get 24v, then get a inverter but they normally drop power to 13.8v. But this is not really portable as the batteries will go flat.

also any 12v charger etc will actually put out around 13.5 - 14v as the battery needs more potential to charge.

i think clifford do or used to do a alarm when the voltage goes below a certain volt it starts the engine and re charges

think it was called avantgarde or something
