Default model trains

not the little hornby things, the bigger versions that you can stick on the mantel and take 5 years to build sort of thing
and not working ones either

i saw one a few years ago, about 2 foot long with the coal track attached and a little section fo track for it to sit upon, in a glass case and stuff

i bought him one of these about a month ago

http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-40689

and he's done building it and taking it apart and he has mastered the art of removing the bits from the screwdriver and the electric thing as well (the electric gun has a very low torque setting so that when the plastic screw is tight it just clicks away like your average elecrit screw driver at it's lowest torque setting) so i want osemthing more challenging for him to play with

he's 19 months only btw so even though the toy is for ages 3-8 he's gone past that now

besides, i've got bored of it as well and want a fresh challenge

edited to say

the wheels come off
the front spoiler comes off
the rear bumper comes off
the wing comes off
and teh body comes off as well (3 screws)
and theny ou can remove the engine and cabin screen visor thing
and when you put it back together again, the rear axle has a set of lobes on it to make the engine wobble as it moves along
