word of warning to those people with the new black 360... they have a common problem just like premiums!

This time its the disc drives not reading discs. i have had my elite 2 days and its broke already just spoke to my friend he has the same issue and looked on google seems more reports of them.


so heres ya warning if you got 1!

 

do all 360 break the old ones did and now there new one

im glad i got a ps3 nothing wrong with it so far

but i hope u get it fix or replaced asap mate

Had 2 360's that knackered up in no time at all. Got sick of the bags of shite, got a PS3 and everything is tits

 

according to a survey 360's have a 33% failure rate, basically dont buy one until microsoft have sorted the problems out. Buy a PS3 instead NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM FAILING AT ALL.

 

the only problem with them was the cost of them but thats coming down now

 

Cost isnt a problem IMO not for what you get, biggest problem is lack of games.

 

ive not got bored of fall of men yet all i do is play it online

If i had 400 floating around i certainly wouldnt even consider buying a 360 after reading this forum everyday

Depends on what you want though - the ONLY reason I bought my 360 is for Halo 3... - was quite content with my normal xbox otherwise...

MIne old Xbox had that disk drive error, facking annoying. One i have now is tip top

 

My first 360 died with the 3 red lights and i still sold it for £100

But i get my 360's for free anyway

Anyway had a look on gamespot as i am bored and found a back to back comparison....



Conclusion
The Xbox 360 had better graphics in almost all the games we examined. The 360's biggest victories were in Madden 07 and Fight Night Round 3, where the differences in texture detail and lighting stood out in our comparison shots. We couldn't capture this in the screenshots, but the Xbox 360 games generally offered better framerates too.

We're going to give the PS3 the benefit of the doubt in this initial round since developers might need more time to figure out how to maximize performance from the Cell and the RSX. If you look at the Xbox 360's first Madden game, Madden 06, you'll notice that it doesn't offer very realistic stadium shadows, either. The trouble with buying a console at launch is that you often have to wait for the second or third generation of games for the system to fulfill its potential. The PS3 didn't beat the 360 in this first comparison, but the games do look fine for first-generation titles. The real graphics battle will likely come next year.

after my first one broke after 2 weeks my current one is lasting well so far but i just know it will fook up sooner or later

once gt5 comes out then ill invest in a ps3, still not even seen halo 3 yet

 

Erm your wrong in the first week of sales on the ps3 percentage wise more were returned than the 360.
Yes on your other argument that the xbox has had more returned than any other console.
But seen as the 360 has sold 11 million unit's compared to how many ps3's?

And no i wont fight for the 360 til death. I just want a console that has games and not a 500pound price tag after you've bought a game

 

i never like playstations. its my oponion. chose the n64 over the ps1 and the xbox over ps2. (also have dreamcast as it rules) and i love the 360.

but i haven't got a 360 can be bothere with spending money on it. i still really enjoy the dreamcast and alll my mates have the new consoles so no nooed for me to get them!

 

I've got 2 xbox 360's and not had any problems and one of them is over a year old, I do make sure they have plenty of air flow though.

It's not even the cost of the consoles that fuck me off its the £40-£50 a game that does??

I read online that it costs somewhere from £1,500.000 to £3,500.000 to make a game whilst the absolute top top games go upto £6,000.000 (gears of war cost £5,000.000 to make but so far has made £80,000.000 in sales)

Why could they not make the games £30? gears of war would of still made £60,000.000 so far lol.

Every 1 million PS3s sold there are 2000 failures, thats the figure from Sony

Every 1 million Xbox 360s there are 330000 failures, thats the figure from Microsoft

So technically there have been 1000s of PS3 failures but doesnt relate to how its been put across.

I think your shots may be replay shots? i know that makes a difference but if you go on their site and rad the feature it does make sense as all the pics are of the exact same part of the games..

 

Ive PLAYED both versions mate and the difference is what those shots show. The PS3 version really does look that much better then the 360 version.

Seriously though I've not played the ps3 version and i won't do until i buy one for when gt5 comes out so i can report back then..
But on gamespot they highlighted 5 games i think and you could see the 360 was more clear with what it showed but the ps3 showed more? but not as clear?
