AVA rolling road day...poss date 17th of may+ Time attack
With all the talk about rolling roads and power figs going on at the moment I thought now might be a good time to ask...
Who would come to a Rolling road day at AVA if I orginised it?
The cars would all see the same boost as they run on the road and I would hope to see some consistant figs as we seems to be struggling to get these elsewhere on the higher powered cars.
Only a thought but would make a good day and I reckon you English lot can do it an hour from the border

You said the big bhp cars have inconsistant readings...
We come to ava and there gonna be different again so its more inconsistancy as far as i can work out LOL
But i am up for it lol...

I just mean that every other rollers people seem to come away un happy for one reason or another ie low boost readings or high losses.
At AVA I gurantee that you will see the boost you see on the road and you wont be quoted 100 bhp losses on a 2wd

Euan, DD does measure an acceleration run. However, the ramp rate is what controls how fast or slow the run takes place. A DD run IMO takes about as long as it takes to blast through that gear on the road, what could be more realistic than that?
As I mentioned on the other threads, my wastegate is spung to 1.5 bar and 1.5 bar it makes, exactly the same on the dyno as on the road.
Either way, shame AVA is so far away, or else we would come along.

Start of next year would work for me, gives me time to finnish the car and let alan see how far he can push a T38.
Ava have one of the biggest supply fans i have seen at a rr, and alan should be able to load cars up to run full boost, but as with any rr there are going to be different figures.

Saturday means no Stoo! So Sunday is the day. I'll decide.
All the English can drive up on the Saturday, have a night out, stay at Euans, then AVA on the Sunday. Sorted.

How about outside Rab's place in Paisley? lol
Seriously, I have no idea. I have room outside mine for a couple of cars and could get another 4 or 5 at my parents, but I'm about 35 mins from AVA/ Glasgow.
