Default mondeo tdci problems

right i bought a tdci estate 130bhp 2001 model

couple of snags

at 50 mph to 60 mph i get a bad vibration through the car like when wheels need balanced but it only does it under load if i ease off it goes away

was thinking driveshaft or gearbox, any ideas??

its done 175k

also its not as quick as it should be,theres no boost until 2k and really feels down on torque to other diesels ive driven

i know its high milage but its reliable enough and seems ok apart from that

ive heard they suffer from some injector problem and will need to go to ford to get fault finder or something?

vibration could well be clutch on way out mate ,happened to my sisters tdci
same as you vibration under load a cpl of months later clutch went ,
because its a dual mass setup it has a rubber on it and when that starts to split causes said vibration ,
think the new dual mass clutch kit inc hydraulic clutch cylinder was about Ł650 very dear and apparently v common fault
hope this helps

theres a few boost hoses on them m8 mine had a split and i couldnt find it at first as there tough pipes but when i found it i could stick my finger in it

these engines are quite pokey to they go quite well, ps my one has done over 360,000 miles on original engine its a 2001 tddi, no smoke or rattles

one other thing is to listen for strange noises from top end not mettalicky noisy but a funny thump type

ive seen a few bust rocker arms my one did, when you lift the cover off from first inspection all is well then on the end of the rocker is little rollers that sit onto the cam lobe ive seen a few snap the rollers clean off the rocker which results in poor performance and a weird ass noise none of us could diagnose
