Ive just bought one for the cossy
What do u lot do with em? Do you leave them constantly connected to the battery as it says? Is that ok?
Or do you put it on say once a week?
Not sure if i like the idea of constantly leaving it on charge.

You only need to start worrying when you come home to find your house has been burnt down

I have mine on every second it's not being used which is about 90% of the year, mine is attached to my carcoon and I have never had an issue-I don't even give it a second thought.
If you have bought a good one you will have nothing to worry about, if its a cheapy one well thats another matter....

They will be if decent ones a perfectly safe thing to leave on all the time with battery connected, or not as you like, but will not cause any harm as switches to DELTA wave charging, just posh charge on charge off all the time so it cycles the battery.

Cheers Peeps
The one i have is made by Ring and i think its something like a Smart charge 4 or something like that.
Is it safe to leave this connected all the time then?
Has it got a safety cut off or something?
I was also thinking of putting the plug on a timer to come on say once a week for a day.
What are your views?

Depends on the circuity in it, it will say in the instructions, something along the lines of "maintenance charge", once fully charged, or phone Ring on 0113 2767676.
Make sure you do know what sort it is or do what you said on a timer for say 2 hours week.

Bowks, my charger is plugged in all of the time.
One thing that might be worth doing is this - I have a small plug that is wired in to the car permanently (MUST be fused next to the battery) and a matching plug on the charger. Saves pissing around opening the bonnet and putting clips on. The wire just pokes out of the corner of the grill.
Also, the plug will pull itself apart when I forget and drive out of the garage

Pretty much anything will do mate, as the current is really low.
Mine is a mini molex connector I got from work, like these:

I cut the lug off so that it will pull apart by itself if necessary
