I was invited over to Rotterdam to play in a 5000 seater stadium to play a charity game against Rotterdam Eye Hospital. ( Iwork for Moorfields Eye Hospital and Manage the Moorfields footie team).
Proper pro pitch, all our kit was taken to the away dressing rooms and hung up on the pegs befoer we got there, we were sent out on the pitch to warm up, then back to the dressing room prior to kick off, then we all ran out the tunnel to the champions league music, lined up like a proper match, national anthems etc, (lots of peeps watching) we spanked the dutch team 9-3 PMSL, and the commentator on the PA kept saying England /holland when we scored which was wicked) as the whole stadium was hired after the match there was food laid on, full bar all night (completly free), live band, disco, presentations etc, flights accomadtion in 4star hotel all paid for, gift bags for all Moorfields Staff, was a really good couple of days, and we raised 10k for 3 charites (on of whihch was the childrens society), only thing is we have to replay and host the game next year, but one of the consultants in the dutch team is a personal friend of chelsea's Roman Abrom(whatever his name is) and has promised to speak to him, although i doubt he's gonna give up Stamford bridge we may get some chelsea freebies for next years game,
i'm knackered tho, as im a winger, and ran the lines like a nutter
