Ive literally just walked through the door.. For an office job, this isnt on!

I go to university one day a week, so Im kinda expected to make up my hours..

Out the door for 7am back in the door at 8.30pm.. Long day IMO

Just wondering who's got it cushdy here and who hasnt?

 

i should work 39 hours a week plus what ever overtime is going but since ive been diagnosed with cancer i only work 5-6 hours a day plus i get a week off every 3 weeks to get over my chemo

and as an added bonus i still get paid my full wage

It works both ways for me mate, somtimes I can still be behind the desk at 8pm Other times like tonight for a change I was home and chilling by 5:15

My normal hours are 9am to 5:30pm Mon - Fri but i'm quite often in by 8 in the mornings etc...

 

Gutted mate All the best for a full recovery!

 

I leave the house at 7:30 and get back a 6:30 onwards...

bascially 8-6 is a shortish day for me!

 

8am-4pm are my hours,but i do a lot of overtime.

 

my core hours are a 37.5 hour week...


I do more like 60

 

wish I got paid for overtime..

cheers fellas it ain't easy but i'll be fucked if im gonna let it get me down and beat me,i've had to make a few adjustments to my life to accomadate the treatment but other than that its business as usual!

 

No wonder paying for that fooking shed of a car..












My hours, 4.45am-10.30am........POSTMAN PAT........ easy life.. not bad for 20k a year..

last summer i was starting work at 5am and working thru til 11pm 7 days a week sometimes i worked 24 hours straight thro

and people reckon us tractor drivers have it easy!

i leave the house either

and sometimes weekends various places in UK.

itd be a lot easier if i lived closer, but social life to me is more important so refuse to move to that wank place, rather commute.

my theory is if you sit around wallowing in self pity the bastard will take you down if you carry on as normal as possible the battle is half won

i must work 37.5 hours a week but i always do the max of 40 as thats what i'm limited to i would easily do more if it was offered

my hours acn range from 1 hour a day right the way up to 6 maybe 7 hours

I manage ok with a wife, 2 kids and house to go with the Cossie



anyway back to hours....


1 week
6.20am - 4 ish mon - fri, 6.20am - 2pm sat

alternate week.
7.30am - 5.30pm mon - fri, no sat

occasional week.
6.20am - 5.30pm mon - fri, 6.20am - 2pm sat

20k a year plus i live rent free (bungalow comes with the job) don't pay council tax,water rates,electricity,heating oil or the line rental on my land line all paid courtesy of my boss

We're lucky, NO mortgage, NO kids, misses earns more than me so we don't do bad..

 

35 hours over 4 days for me

Every third week get a long weekend,finish Thurs,off Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon-Tues,back in on Weds

Work 8 till 5, hour off for lunch and come home as work is only 6 miles away !!!


Almost never get finished at 5 though as usually have someone desperate to get their car back that night so have to work on for a bit and finish it, or some clown appears at half 4 looking for an mot !!

Sometimes get sent out on breakdowns at nights and weekends, never get overtime but perks of the job make up for it, get to use the ramps whenever i want to, never have to pay for any of my mot's and get to do them myself !! Have had shit loads of them and all so saved quite a few quid there !!! Get tools free and all sometimes and oil, nuts and bolts, paint etc etc so not all bad and dont mind doing a bit extra hours.

 

I love Jealous fookers..

I'm on a basic salary of 17.3k Gross at the moment, I earn ALOT of bonus though, up to another £500 a month at times but this isn't guaranteed...

From renting my flat out I also earn an extra £100 pcm... so not too bad at 24 yrs old I guess?
