Default Which tyres?

Just bought some new wheels from Reyland, (arrived today, thanks!) and now i'm deciding which tyres to buy.

Its a choice between Goodyear Eagle F1's or Toyo proxes TR-1's really.

Anyone had experience of either of these tyres?

Which would you go for?

Cheers in advance!

Both much of a muchness in the dry - I would favour for the F1 though due to my own personal experienc of them being better in the wet than the toyo's and we live in the UK- which is mostly wet LOL
(have had both)

Had both but on different cars so can't compare like for like but the F1's were a huge improvement over the old Avons I had on the Cossie. Very good in the wet.

Had both on mine and infact i have Toyo's on the back and Eagles on the front at the minute. I think there pretty good as an allround road tyre.

I run a as wide as i can not stupid 205 width tyres

F1 just hope they don't bulge out like my ones did!!
Consider UNIROYAL RAINSPORT 1, which I now use and are much better but a lot noisier and harder ride.

Definitely F1s. I have F1s on road wheels and Toyo T1-Rs on my track wheels and they are truly shite.

I think it must depend on the car a lot as I went from F1 215/40x17 on my old mondy auto to T1R and it was way better, in every respect.

The T1Rs aren't too bad as road tyres, still not as good as F1s IMO, but as a track tyre they're awful, they squeal worse than a stuck pig.

Dan they will be fine in the wet as the water keeps the temps down and stops they tyre from getting to hot.

I had em on on a session at Ford Fair last year..

They weren't *that* bad tbh, apart from near the end of the session when the back end just kicked out. Obviously overheated now I think back!

I need 4 new tyres soon and not sure what to go for, especially with Winter coming up, and the ring over easter.

Really considering Goodyear Hydragrips, but don't want them to melt on a dry track!
