whats the crack with windscreens...
...so to speek 
i have just had a look over an old ladys fiesta that has a cracked windscreen thats about half way up the drivers side piller & is about 7'' - 9'' long but its not in the path of the wipers, so is that still an mot failure??

You are allowed a crack or chip up to 10mm if its in the drivers line of sight ( in line with the steering wheel but slightly bigger than the wheel ) and up to 40mm if its anywhere else in the swept area, anything bigger than this is a fail.
