Sounds like great business sense to me! Im sure if he was to answer the phone to every call that he got then no work would be done as he would keep getting niterupted.
Now i know if my car was there id rather he got the work done and out the way so he was able to answer the phone and except more business?

Never been no, just thinking that if you start a job, don't answer the phone during it and three weeks later you complete it, then you have nothing booked in for the next day as you didn't answer the phone to book it in?
If he's that busy, a receptionist might be worthwhile Plus get a fit one and you can oggle her when having a tea break

Contacting of Martin
From first hand experience, Martin is far better at replying to E-Mails.
I must of done his head in (bless 
) With me keep calling all the time.
Mike Rainbird has been a complete GOD in rebuilding relations for me. Martin is a busy chap and likes to get on with the job in hand and as he is very honest in saying every time the phone rings, he has to answer it, when it rings 20 or so times a day it stops him working with his hands.
So for me i can understand and as Martin pointed out, when he gets a mail, and he is on lunch he can reply but he did say if its a long mail it takes him longer, so just remember short is sweet. Apart from that Martin is a very honest and upfront guy which is unusual in this day and age.
