Default EECIV ECUs for ST Cossies

Providing these have the same ECU code, can they be swapped between cars or is the PATS system an issue?

Mike, my small turbo doesn't have the pats system, it has the wipac immobiliser fitted, I presume most of the early small turbos will be the same so it's a case of finding an eary st ecu.

Does the code tell you anything? Basically I have a COSY ECU and want to know if it will work on another car that also has a COSY ECU - mine is a 1996 car with the red key?

Probably a question for Stu, so I will PM him the link .

Mike I think there are about 4 different 4 digit codes for the st, honestly don't know if they are interchangerble or not, presume the same codes will be if the key is then programmed in by a "key shop"

I have tried to swap mine with a friends of the same year 1995, not sure if the ECU code was the same but it was having none of it.
