cosworth hubs?

on the back of the hub is a metal dust shield,where the driveshaft fits in,4x4.one of mine is loose and rattles,is there any reason why i could not just remove it?i cant see it being a problem but just checking.thanks

are you on about the front ones?

im sure i dont run them as they were loose and didnt fit correct and not had any problems
