Default New size.... 8.5" Compomotive MO's & 18" TH2's

Following on from Rainbum's post on Paul's OZ wheel thread, I can see that there is potentially a market for 8½" x 18" wheels. Accordingly, I have approached Compomotive and they have agreed to make some specially in Escort Cosworth fitment. The benfits of these over the 9" rim that is already available, are that this wheel will be designed to accept the 380mm brakes (where the 9" can only take upto a max of 356mm), as well as having a wider choice of tyres to fit - 225, 235 and 245 will all comfortably fit on a 8½" wide wheel!

I am going to have them made in the same offset as the old Rondells, which I am sure you will agree fitted the car perfectly!

These will be available in all the usual colours .

I'm also thinking of having a batch of 8x18 TH2's made, they will be a limited run of 15 sets and will cost £795 all in for a set of four.

Pm me if interested

255s will also fit on a 8.5" wide rim also - common size on the arse end of new 3 series BMWs - plus I've got them on the back of my Bora on an 8.5" rim also!!

think he might be talking about the new style MO's and not the TH2's as at the top he did say he may have a batch of 8x18 TH2's made

That is because you have gpA hubs and these allow well inset brake bells which move the caliper inwards but this can't be done on a standard hub due to the location of the track rod arm casting meaning flat brake bells and less clearance.

I know that 380's don't fit inside ET20 9x18 MO's using 4x4 Cosworth hubs as I have tried it, would be interesting to know what hubs and et wheels you used though

I meant the TH2s, not the MOs! Maybe I got confused.

I know you can get 9 and 10 inch MOs, hell, i had 10x18 MOs on the GTR
