just had nice run against an evo 8 mr
there was me just minding my own business when a mazda rx7 turbo comes past and shoots off from the traffic lights.mmmm wonder how quick it really is says me so shoot off after it as it was heading along the a49(dual carriageway).
then he pulls off to go into tescos and in front of him is an evo 8-ah,playtime.
so i pull up next to him at the lights,the stretch in front isnt good as its quite populated,but the bit after the next roundabout is the beginning of fun.we pull away slowly,he sppeds up a bit,so did i.i slow down,so did he.
anyway i let him go first onto the quicker bit and he hoofs it-not a great deal in it then we hit the next lights.off we go again,not a lot in it but he is slightly pulling away-clearly has more power.last bit is a long weeping corner,im in front virtually flat in 5th and he is right up my arse then gets past.im out of fuel so give him a flash and go home with a smile.
after a little bit of detective work the 320mr is now apparently around 500 bhp,so i think the little impreza did well.as i only have 350/360ish
but want more power now
one day ill grow up

i hope the evo was 500 bhp.my source is very reliable though 
i thought it may have been 380/400,the way it pulled away slightly.

Was one of the last ones in before i left mate - runs a built 2.0 with a 25G turbo on a 10cm back end, externally gated, big injectors, Power FC and a fair few other bits.
Huge brakes on it as well

need more power top end!
but mine is still on standard turbo and injectors.got autronic,1.6 bar boost,front mounted cooler,ext wastegate.though.
can feel the power drop off high up the revs

thats where this forum is wrong though.its about car lovers who have an interest in fords.a lot of people on here have interests in other marques,like myself.

maybe i need a second turbo......no,jut a bigger one!
it pulls well and hits the limiter easily(7800),just feels a bit flat at high revs,especially in 5th/6th gear.maybe needs more mapping.

the standard turbo will be running out of volume, thus the boost will be droping due to the engine eating more air than the tubo can suply.
mine does not, due to two tubos feeding the air, but the fookers cannot handle much more than 1.2 bar
