2.5 944 s2 is quite good, the turbo is obviously a bit more lively... but the NA 2.7/2.5 aint too bad imo, ive have 3 of them and had some fun...

the cabrio is the s2 and are regularly going between 11k and 16k compared to the 2.5 turbo's which can pull as little as 4k for a proper nasty one

i thought the s2 models were all 3 litre-all the ones on ebay are....

i just like the shape of them, especially the s2 on cup alloys.dont want a cabriolet one.

the one i had for a day was a d reg 2.5 in black-absolutely mint, guy flew over from ireland same day to buy it for £3800.so never really got time to enjoy it.

they were all 3.0 jay.the cabrio was only in the s2 guise as far as i know.

my mums was a 2.5 turbo in black too! loved it to bits.she says it was the best car she owned.ands that coming from a woman
i'd stick to 2.5 turbo myself.

ok good point with the GT, but allways wanted a 968 over any 911, also when working for porsche went out in alot of the normal 996/997 911's (ie not a GT2 or 3 or RS) and didnt impress me nearly as much as the 968, for the £££ theres only one wimner IMO

have always wanted one and came very close to buying one years ago but a 500 came up for similar money and there was no competition

i still look on ebay now and then, but cant justify buying one now as it would just be sat around not used, but if it was cheap enough then who knows ..........

i know what you mean mate.normal 911's are a bit dull now.porsche being a victim of their own success.so many about it means they arent too special now.
