Dumped.

I think the term 'Twin Turbo' only loosely applies to Coco though.

Would be interested if anyone had some info on this. Would 2 small turbo's be as good as 1 big turbo so there was as little lag as possible.

The AVA one was more compound charged than normal twin turbo.

Turbosystems did a sequential sort of style twin turbo setup IIRC.

Prism i think did a "normal" twins setup i think?

And seen at least 1 normal twins setup from abroad too.

Pointless though in non sequential (ie "normal") form, offer no advantage at all over a decent split pulse manifold n turbo, and plenty of disadvantages.

IIRC Turbo Technics did one in the mid 90's using two T25's and a split manifold with an actuated valve in the middle that opened up at a set boost level to supply exhaust to both turbos from all four cylinders. I remember the article said that there was very little lag. I suppose with turbo technology moving on somewhat there'd be no point now in doing it ???

the turbine of the small turbo is attached to the manifold, the exhaust for that is fed to the turbine of the large turbo, the exhaust for that is fed to the rest of the exhaust system.

the compressor inlet of the small turbo is fed from the compressor outlet of the large turbo, the compressor outlet of the small turbo is then fed via an intercooler to the engine.

have you ever seen the video of the car?
no way a cossie engine could ever have got a t88 to spin up the way i did if there wasnt another turbo there to help it.
or maybe you could but wouldnt be drivable like martins was.
hopefully someone will post the vid
