Nice story about a MK1 escort (with pics)
This jem of a mk1 belongs to a friend of mine whos sheer determination and will have made it what it is today... well done that man.
i saw this car and i had to share it with you all on PF as i know it will be welcomed with the love it deserves
a little over 22 years ago this car was bought by its current owner. driven as it should and then put into storage for a long time.. 2 years ago he decided to set about restoring it..This is what he ended up with.
after 22 years, 2 years of hard work and grazed knuckles, a few grand....ALL the work was done by the owner with help from one or two particular fellow enthusiasts here and there.. (wiskers)ect LOL
what can i say...See for yourselvs. well done J!

Old turd wants putting back in the garage where it has lived for all them years! Best place for it back on axle stands hahaha
Only joking i helped a little putting the thing together and it is a very tidy car and the owner is a bit of a tart and everything has to be perfect!! And i think that shows.
(if only he took as much care with his subaru haha)
Nice car well done but wheres mine!!!

If you want a before picture get a tub of filler and a can of grey primer!
After that hack all the filler out, repair the panels properly and then prime it again!
Then flat it back and do it again and again and again and so on till its straight!
Then you get to the end product.
And for anyone that wants to know the sunstripe is on because it was like that when he got it all them years ago i think so he put it back on!!
