Kev - some of our units have WSP - which is a bit like ABS on a car, and the WSP is equipped with sanders on some units - but no matter how hard the wsp works some units still slide like bitches come slippy season

We will have no problems this year as all the trees have been cut down
Just suffer from landslides instead

But it stops working if all the wheels are locked
so don't work at all.
It needs some wheels turning to get a speed reading to make it work.

all drivers seem to think that, but nope, they do go missing alot tho, we allways blame the drivers, throwing them out the window etc, drivers blame us.
Tho fault noted is a good one
personally i think its kids, or midgets that remove them

NFF, have about 10 a day
seriously tho its a shit system, you get about 3 lines to report and describe fault, thats all we get to go on sometimes, + most of the time, the fault reported is several days old before it gets to the depot.
the worst is power faults, ie vcb tripping 50mph , losing power at 50mph. can only check everything and static power test it at 0mph
then say fuck all found good to go, when you know its going to fail again

Look up your local train company on the web.
Most sites will have a recruitment section.

You need to be 21 before becoming a train driver, but you can start your training when you are 20.

Nice one! What was it like compared? Do you wish it was like the old days or prefer diesel/electric?
