Default Would you touch this if you were me?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-3-Series-E...QQcmdZViewItem

Would you bother?

Its only a back box so im not looking for a performance increase, purely looks.

Feedback seems promising?

Having emailed the guy, he tells me that it is surprisingly good quality for such a cheap exhaust and that there really isnt much of a change in sound. I also think the exhaust looks pretty good, im talking specifically about the dual exit as pictured on the E46...

I may buy one, fit it and see how it goes.

Ive just bought the above as well which i think will look nice - so im ready for a dual exit exhaust, just need to find the right one without spending the earth!

Here is my car...

Thats not cheap, its just a universal rear box, thats the sort of money they cost.

They cant charge more as some poor fucker has to try and make it fit.

Universal fit means it univerally fits nothing.

If it was a specific fitment for an E46 BMW, its be cheap as fuck, but its not, its just a universal backbox like all these motorworld type places sell.

So if it is a good quality exhaust then it is worth it?

The guy tells me that even though it is a universal exhaust, it fits the E46 almost as if i was made for it?

well he would say that wouldnt he, lol.

for the amount of fucking about needed (hangers, brackets, flanges, cutting, welding) its prob better getting one made for the car.

infact its DEFFO better and almost deffo cheaper just going to your local powerflow dealer and getting them to do you a backbox, leave some other poor sod with the work to fit it.

up to you mate, but i know universal backboxes, and well made or not, it wont be a easy job to fit nicely.

As Stav said, "universal fitment" means that you wont find a car in this universe it fits onto nicely.

Id spend a bit extra on a proper one, especially for that type of car. I had so much hassle with a universal fit box years ago that was a so called 'nice fit'.

That car wants leaving alone! You'd have to cut the rear diffuser to make it fit too..
