Easy recipe ideas - help!
The missus has 'told' me I'm cooking this weekend
I ain't got a clue what to make so I need ideas
She said I cant cheat & get a take away
So, it has to be something really easy to make, just a main course, anything but not beef or chicken.
It has to have a bit of creativity but nothing that's going to take hours to make!
Come on people, help me out as I cant cook for toffee

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Mate is prok ok? cos I like making the missus Pork chops with pesto and mozarella on, with a bit of pasta.
Basically grill the pork, then add a nice layer of red pesto and pop back under the grill for a min or two, then pop slices of mozarella on top and grill until it has melted and starts to go brown/bubbly.
then just cook so plain tagliatelli pasta and when its drained add a load of pesto to that and stir.
finally put it all on a plate with a few cherry tomatoes and a bit of lettuce, job done cheap, easy and impressive

pesto pasta
1x bag fresh egg tagalatelle pasta , 2x courgettes, 1x pack bacon lardons, 1 large spanish onion, some mushrooms, garlic, salt+pepper, 1 jar of sainsburys pesto sauce, 1 small tub of creme fraiche.
large flat pan, medium heat, brown off the courgettes (sliced), then the onion (diced), then the bacon lardons, then add garlic ( how much is up to you, 2-3 cloves is good) bit of seasoning, throw the toadstools in, add the pesto sauce, simmer a bit (10 mins), bang the pasta on ( spot of olive oil in the water and a pinch of salt, stop it sticking), cook for 4 mins, as the pasta boils stir in the creme fraiche to the sauce.
Gorgeous - a nice garlic and herb ciabatta is good to go with it as well, and I suggest a nice bordeux claret or a light rose wine to go with it
