Sorry to post in here but knew more people might see it
Im having problems with my brakes on my 3 door was driving the other day and they stopped working,
Just went to my car to have a little play, turned ignition on and the abs pump buzzed as normal and they worked again drove for about 15 mins then give the ant lag a blip as u do and when turned it off about 2 mins later no brakes, coincidence I thought but I don’t know, I touched the bottle and wire that runs to the abs and it was hot and soft not sure if that’s normal or coursing a problem as got different heat shield

Any ideas has anyone had same problem
Many thanks

excess heat from the anti lag has caused the exhaust manifold to heat up causing the brake fluid to overheat or melt the wiring to the pump. try changing the brake fluid to higher spec & get a decent heat shield
you have pm btw

there are 3 plugs on the brake pump iirc, check the wiring to the bottom one. Mine came slightly unplugged 100 miles away from home but still looked like it was in, and I had to drive it back like that.
All to find out it would have took a gentle push and I could have had stoppers again. In my defence it was fookin hot down there next to the turbo.
