what should you expect in a low comp engine

as above if you were to buy a low comp bottom end what thing should it have and what should you be looking for or at . how could you test it or what signs should you be looking for

your right but thought itf i got one at the right price and rebuild it with new bearings, ring, gasket, renew what needs doing then i would have a decent engine for when this one goes bang as you know what rs are like

its up to you. im no mechanic but you have to be certain you are buying something with low comp pistons in!
only advice i can give is to do what im planning - do everything properly once and then they wont 'go bang'!
